Eraser

No, I'm not going to talk about Arnol Schwarzenegger, I'm going to talk about "a eraser". Yesterday, when I was in class, I asked to my teacher: "Can you give me the rubber?" and my teacher said: "Whaaaaaaaaaaat, be careful with this word, it's so British". In U.S, a rubber is a condom. Now, I'm going to show you some differences between British English an American English:
  • Rubber (British) = Eraser (American)

  • Holidays (British) = Vacation (American)

  • Lift (British) = Elevator (American)

If you want to learn enjoying, you will to see gomaespuminglish.

  1. Still writing with a pencil, José Luis? When will your teacher let you write with pen? :-p

By the way, I'm so grateful to the film "Eraser". I watched it in the cinema and I commited I shouldn't go to the cinema for a Schwazzie movie any more. But I'm looking forward to watch the porn version movie, that now I guess is called "Rubber"

Have a nice day, my friend.
